great weekend.

What a great weekend.  Thanks to my mom, Chris and I got to enjoy yet another Friday night date night.  I am really getting used to these - remembering why they are so important!

Saturday was plan free and a gorgeous day.  After a few chores in the morning, we found ourselves popping the bubbly at 11:30am.  I know.  Parents of the year...but it was the perfect day for a mimosa...or two!

Dad and Ann stopped by after an errand and ended up staying all day!  How did we get so lucky for this surprise?  We spent the entire afternoon out back playing with the kids and soaking up the rays.  Chris and my Dad slipped into "their world" pretty quickly sharing stories, drinking beer, and telling "their kind" of jokes.  Can you tell they have quite the bond?  Uh yeah - it's pretty obvious and I adore it.

On another high note, I finally got a new charger for my Canon and was desperate to use it after a 6 month hiatus.  Woah.  What was I thinking waiting this long?  I can now see what a difference the quality is vs. my iphone camera.  Not good Kelley.  ;)  I bet you can tell the difference too!  Get ready for some photos of better quality in the future!  (keep in mind - I still have a lot to learn about using it!)

And although I didn't take pictures yesterday, the kids and I had a great time with Gramzie, feeding ducks at the lake near her house.  Aves & Warner would never miss the chance for that!

So yes, a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

Unfortunately, we now have some colds on our hands and our missing a much-anticipated playdate at the Zoo with cousin Shannon and her handsome boys.  We can't wait to get well quickly and meet with them soon!
