It has been such a spectacular week!
With my mom back in town for only a few weeks before her next vacation, we made it a point to get in some great "field trips" (as she calls them) with the kiddos (clearly my mom was a teacher for over 30 years). Our week was booked!
It was a boiling 113 degrees on Monday but we were determined to head to the Kierland Splash Pads. Avery had a blast not only running through the popping water but exploring all of the grassy hills and rocky landscape nearby. Warner was a perfect angel while "Gramzie" sprayed him with the cooling fan, watching us play! We even managed to make a quick trip through Z Gallerie in our damp clothes but I have to - it's one of my absolute favorites!
Next on the agenda? Tuesday at Gramzie's pool! Since I was watching Aves around the water while mom watched Warner back in her apartment, I couldn't capture any pool shots. But the pool is half beach so Avery had a great time running through the sand and of course, trying to eat it too! We worked up quite the appetite so headed back in for some delicious Barro's pizza.
Late Wednesday morning, Jordan and Brooks came over for a play date! Avery and Brooks play so well together and keep us highly entertained when chasing each other around the house for sippy cups. It's only fun when you can steal the other ones cup apparently! For old times sake, Jordan and I got Sauce for lunch and this time shared it with the babies that are now definitely OUT of our bellies! ;) Fortunately, Jackie and Max showed up about 15 minutes before the Ragland crew had to go. I am so bummed that I didn't get any pictures of Jack & Max. I will make it a point next time in addition to quite a few other pictures I forgot to take!
And then for Thursday! Although Avery had a rough night and woke up a little too early, we still headed to morning music class! It was a hit! Dancing is one of Avery's favorite things to do so this class was clearly made for her. She had a bit of the grumpies due to little sleep but regardless, hung in there for the entire class. I know she will have a blast next week. We even danced around the kitchen for 30 minutes last night to the songs...my arms were pretty exhausted since she wanted me to hold her the whole time. But who can complain about that!?! And Warner? Well, he was perfectly behaved as usual and hung out in his car seat while all the little kids took their turn running over to check him out. My mom was a big help in them not tipping him over!
Unfortunately for today, we had to schedule a plumber last minute and cancel our trip to the Children's Museum :( But don't worry, next week is pretty booked too and we will be sure to make up for it! And Friday-chill-day has its perks too!...
Thanks, Mom for joining us in these fun adventures and all of your help! I am determined to get through this heat and have fun doing it!...
