I'm 30!
Bye Bye Twenties and hellooooooo Thirties!
It's true that my Thirties have one amazing decade to follow but I have no doubt in all they are capable of revealing!
The 30th birthday (one many fear) does bring with it an opportunity for reflection, goal-making, and in my case thankfulness! My twenties, when looked at as a whole, fulfilled many of my childhood dreams and were simply...wonderful. I experienced such a full range of emotions and life's experiences and yet know there is so much more to learn.
While 20 brought with it my first heartbreak, it hardly defined the decade to come. Oh little did I know...
College graduation, my first true love, marriage, home ownership, my first real career, bulldogs, two beautiful & amazing children - to state the highlights.
But we all know life isn't accurately reflected by accomplishments stated on paper. It's that feeling inside. That along the way I found a happiness I never knew of before. One I only dreamed of. And now, am so thankful I chased.
This decade taught me to never limit my Savior. That He really does know what He's doing and proved His famous art of Unanswered Prayers. (To think, I could have sworn I knew what was best for me ;)) He taught me that I will cry tears I didn't expect to and may never fully understand life and surely not be able to control it (even though I try desperately to). But that ultimately, He's got the wheel. So as long as I continue to strive to better myself, He will deliver all that He can. And believe you me....amazing it will be!

The celebration for my 30th birthday was supposed to be our Vegas trip to see Garth Brooks! But because I have the most incredible husband in the world, he wouldn't settle for "just" that. Instead, he surprised me with an evening at my favorite resort.....you guessed it: The Montelucia!
He had massages scheduled, babysitters booked and dinner reservations set. I love him.
We started celebrating on the eve of my big day by spending a day at the pool sipping Mai Tai's and catching rays. The amazing Plas family stopped by at one point to deliver a wonderful birthday gift and visit! They just don't miss a beat. Talk about incredible friends!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Prado and then a FULL night's sleep. I actually slept till 8:45am! The first thing I thought was how Avery was about to go down for her morning nap. Hah! And then it was soon time for a deep tissue massage and a blow out! Sometimes I wish I could live there. Spas are my absolute favorite.
The day was perfect. We got home late afternoon so I could enjoy the rest of the day cuddling with my babies and then next to my hubby while watching the Bachelorette of course!
