S.A.H.M.

Being a stay at home mom is by far the hardest & most demanding job I've ever had.  But like I've already said many times, it is the most amazing one!  I love every second.

After all, there are few jobs where you get to dress like a princess at 3 O' Clock in the afternoon!

Pucker up!
I'm a pretty big deal.

Packing up Wagon Wheel.

Ann and I have been packing up Wagon Wheel since January.  She has collected so many boxes for us over the last 7 months and it's turned out to be a life saver.  It's shocking when you realize just how many you really need.  Since we are finally down to the wire and it looks like this might be our moving month after all, I have really kicked it into gear and have been a packing machine.

Chris keeps asking me if this is my way of telling him to hurry up.  And to that I say...YUP.

We are down to paper plates and plastic cups.  Nails on the wall and holes to cover up.  Almost everything has a new home in a cardboard box except for the large items, of course.  We are hoping to get in after our vacation at the end of this month.  Do I sound like a broken record yet?  Hey, I'm just the messenger.

What's left at Project 57?
     - Interior Paint (end of this week)
     - Wood floors & baseboards (last step)
     - Finishing touches on tile (we had to order more - end of this week)
     - Exterior paint & brick (in the next couple of weeks)

We decided we will move in as soon as the interior is complete.  No need waiting for the landscaping to be completed.  It will follow soon after the final house steps.

So we are closing up shop on dear Wagon Wheel and preparing for our next chapter a bit east.  Updates to follow...

Back in January.
Look how little Aves was!
Chris getting side tracked ;)
Cramming it all in!
Boxes galore.
Has the Grinch been here?
Chain link fence is down and the dirt has been graded.  We decided to keep the port-a-potty ;)

I love these two.

I thought it would take a few years to see a connection between Avery and Warner but it's clearly taken root from the start.  As if I don't get enough pleasure watching them grow as individuals, my heart melts even more seeing them interact.

Avery takes care of Ner Ner any chance she gets from giving him his binky, his bottle, bouncing him in the jungle jumper and giving him sweet sister kisses.  Every time I get her up from her nap and bring her out to the family room she says "Ner Ner!!!!!", the moment she sees him.  Then she gets real close to him and says "hiiiiieeee".

And at just 3 and 1/2 months old, I know he's aware of her.  His eyes are locked on her whenever shes near him with a big gummy smile :)

So so sweet.

Some of my favorites.

I take so many pictures and always find myself scrolling through my camera roll with a big smile on my face!  It also reminds me how much we do and how quickly my babies grow!  Below are some of my favorite pictures from the last couple of weeks!

After going to the fish store with Daddy!  Welcome to the family, Boots!
Warner holding tight to Dad's shirt!
Cuddle time with Gramzie!

A surprise Dora slumber party with my baby Aves!  She was so excited and jumping all over the bed!

More music class fun!

Zonked after another afternoon at Gramzie's beach pool!

Garth.

The moment I heard Garth Brooks had come out of retirement and was performing at The Wynn, I was determined to see his concert.  But since the last couple of years have been a bit on the busy side, we never made our way there.

My 30th Birthday and not being pregnant seemed like the perfect time to make it happen!  Chris bought us the tickets months ago and it was finally here!  Once again, I was sad to leave the kiddos and nervous about the travel but my excitement to see Garth pushed me through!  ;)  Glenda and my mom were so sweet to once again, watch Avery & Warner.  It's so comforting knowing they are in great hands!

We had such a fun time together all day on Friday shopping, gambling, sitting by the pool, eating annnnnnnnnd then GARTH!  It was better than I could have ever imagined and yet so different.  I've never sat so close in any concert and we were in the 4th row; we might as well have been on stage with him.  And if we were, it would have made a total of 3 people because it was just Garth and his guitar.  Talk about talent.  I pictured him sitting back and playing all his hits but again, it was so different.  He told a story, went through the decades and shared what influenced his music all while pacing around the stage, making MANY jokes, and breaking into song unexpectedly.  So incredible.  I hate to say it but you really did have to be there to appreciate even an ounce of this entertainment.  And the coolest part?  You really don't even have to be a fan of country.  He sang so many classics from all music genres that showed yet another layer to his talent.  A must-see.  I would go back in a second.

But then came the food poisoning.  Grrrrr......

I woke up Saturday morning with a horrible stomach ache that only got worse over the next 4 days.  Yup, severe food poisoning.  I sure didn't see that coming and found myself wishing for a hangover instead.  I'm pretty sure it was from a the pizza place at The Wynn but it was bad.  So it was definitely a bummer to my trip and the days that followed but at least it was after Garth!

Soooo despite getting sick, Chris and I had a wonderful time and were so happy to have finally seen Garth's show!  I highly recommend it!

Project 57 - Remember this project?

The good news is that this project is still under way and rounding third!

It was really feeling like Groundhog's Day there for awhile!

At this point, it seems silly trying to guess when we will actually move in.  I guess that's construction for you...or so I'm learning!  But at least we're close!  Wagon Wheel is starting to feel less like home with boxes piling high, pictures coming down off walls, and things "breaking".  It's definitely a "limbo" stage creating more anticipation for a place to really settle into.  Truthfully, we should be in by late next month and I am so excited!

There were a few obstacles with our island marble splitting in half, the monsoon rain warping our cabinets and tile laying mishaps.  That's to be expected though and so far, I love the way it's turning out!  I cannot wait to see the final product!

3 Months - Just like that!

Warner is a little butter ball and full of smiles and giggles these days!

Since I just love having a daughter, I didn't know quite what to expect with a son.  But so far, it's amazing and I love it just as much!  He loves to snuggle with his mommy (at least I will keep telling myself that!).  I find that I already pray he will marry an incredible woman for his sake and oh okay, mine too ;)  I wonder if I will still get snuggles then?  My guess is no so I take every chance I can to hold him close and give lots of kisses!

The other morning I asked Chris if he could watch the kids for 5 minutes while I took a quick shower.  By the time I got out (5 minutes later) both kids were crying and Chris says to me:

"Are you starving our children???".

I think we all know I am definitely NOT withholding any food from these sweet peas.  Guys are funny.  I love how that's the solution to babies crying.  Chris and I both laughed about that comment after I of course, gave him a hard time - that was one in need of documenting!

Warner is now 15.4 lbs!  Holy guacamole!

Hi Big Sister!
Here Ner Ner, let me get this for you!
