Nesting Nutso!

I wish I could have Chris write this post because his perspective is so much funnier! However, I will give it my best shot and see if you can find the humor in this all together.

After a busy week, all I could hope for was a Friday night snuggled in bed but we headed to the Suns' game, which turned out to be a great time! Chris' brother Matt and his sweet girlfriend, Jen joined us for an exciting Suns vs. Lakers game in a luxury suite (not bad!). I slept till 10am the next morning which is pretty late for me these days. I got through 3 sips of my coffee before I slipped on my productive shoes and began to tackle my to-do list!

Chris left for an appointment at this time returning about 2 hours later to find me sitting on the kitchen floor painting, with all of the surrounding walls taped, primed and ready for paint! That's right...I repainted our entire dining room, baseboards and kitchen cabinets!

He stood and stared at me for a good 30 seconds before he asked: "what the heck are you doing??". I don't think I cleared things up when I answered: "I just couldn't get the baseboards clean enough!".

If that wasn't enough, two hours later, I found myself knee deep in my flower beds shoveling out a ton of roots so I could prepare it for flowers. I should note that 1/2 way through this chore, the sprinklers came on and soon after, I was drenched in water and mud (this didn't stop me though). And of course, Chris found me outside in another extreme "nesting" state and offered to turn off the sprinklers. Crazy concept! The neighborhood boys even came over to offer their assistance and explained that their mom said I shouldn't be doing this while pregnant. The truth is, she was right because I paid for it the next day!

I spent all of Sunday in bed after a trip to Safeway left me faint. I truly used all my energy on Saturday. But I am happy to report that I was so productive on Saturday, it was entirely acceptable to be worthless on Sunday! Not to mention, I really should try not to "over do it".

A wonderful end to my Saturday was having my Dad and Ann stop by! They brought sooo many more outfits for Avery that it felt like Christmas morning :) We enjoyed such a great visit and delicious dinner at Babbo's. Yum!

As you can see, the "boys" were being a little bratty and impatient as I took about 45 "takes" before I got the picture right. How many times do I have to tell you people....I AM LEARNING HERE! ;)
