Hodge podge of happenings.

Things have been great lately!  They slowed down a bit after Warner's birthday party and I forced myself to relax as a result.  I still have some entries that I'm itching to post (i.e. Jamie's visit, home office remodel, more beach action at Gramzie's, etc.) but it all comes down to photos.  That tends to be an obstacle I face the most.  Many forms of technology can easily confuse such placement.

Here are some highlights I definitely have on hand and sure make me smile!

Nanny visited for the day and I managed to capture these timeless beauties!
We had an incredible day with Nanny!
Warner lights up with excitement when he sees this hubby of mine and yells "DAH!!"
This sums up my Friday.  I could not keep up.
But then you look at this face.

He spent 25 minutes playing in this kitchen.  Maybe trying to recreate the spaghetti O disaster?
Saturday afternoon was a blast celebrating the birth of this amazing being.  I absolutely love her.
Where I found her during nap time.
Wanting her dolly and stroller to come along on all our errands now!  ;)

Splash pads.

Things are heating up!  It seems only fitting that this entry posts on our 1st triple digit day of the year.  Yes, before May.  At least Phoenix is consistent.

Last week, I managed to work in some much-needed errands and a special treat for the kidlets at the end:  Splash Pads!  An incredible invention!

Warner insisted I hold him the entire time, choosing to only "splash" with his hands.  But for Aves, it was game on!  Confusing them at times with a drinking fountain, she ultimately dove into the concept like a natural!

Oh!  And yes we came unprepared without swimsuits but made it work!

easter weekend.

For us, Easter started on Friday morning when I made a last minute decision (thanks to my mom) to take the kids to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap.  I'm happy I did because it's another memory captured and Aves & Warner really enjoyed it.  Avery was "hop hoping" everywhere!

I promise.  They enjoyed it!
Our Easter then continued on Saturday with an afternoon of egg hunting and bbq fun at Drew & Jenn's.  The kids had such a great time and were emersed in the all the great activities Jenn planned.  Avery somehow soared through the day with no nap and no meltdowns.  We were impressed and happy to see her full of smiles.

Uncle Drew's makeshift Sheriff car!
Warner getting his Easter eggs snatched!
I think we are giving him the wrong impression of Easter!

Jenn's very generous and creative Easter gifts!
Anything good, Warner?
After a long & fun day, Chris snapped this picture and said it well: "this picture describes our life perfectly these days"

And then came Easter morning at our house which bred a sea of green plastic grass.  My 50 cent purchase that would have satisfied these little tots.  I guess that's why you'll find a lot of practical items in their baskets.  One being clothes since apparently they are without any much of the time!  ;)

Off to Jimmy & Angela's to enjoy a delicious meal and excellent company.  I loooove spending holidays at their house.  It's a such a great environment with positive people, lots of laughter and I'm telling you, ah-mazing food!  Not to mention, Brady & Hudson, which means a guaranteed fun time for Aves & Warner!

It was another long day that went by too quickly!  A definite, memorable Easter for all of us!

My mom always buys the most adorable holiday outfits for the kids!  I think these were the best yet!
Beauty.
Is it just me or don't you just want to hang out with this girl?
(thank you Shannon for this perfect picture!)

Warner loves Nanny!  And really loves her earrings too!
what a beautiful mom and son!
boys will be boys!  and Aves has a front seat!
Lisa knows the way to a child's heart - bubbles!
