Why hello!
For a second there, I forgot what it felt like to be healthy. But by Sunday, I was finally feeling better and finally had energy again. Phhhewwww. That was a tough one. Flu shot here I come!
Chris found his girls in full on recovery mode- a place I didn't mind to be at all!
And although Avery was pretty happy while she had her cold, this smile really proves how much of a trooper she really is! This smile melts my heart.
Oh - and just because I had to. Love.

Pinterest.
Why, Jamie? Why would you do this to me?
Have you guys heard of Pinterest?
I sincerely say to you:
"I'm not sure if I am hurting you or helping you but, I think you should know about http://pinterest.com/"
I am obsessed. Seriously.
Pinterest acts as a colander to the Internet. Together, as a community, we work together to pinpoint and highlight the best of the best. Whether home decor or DIY projects (clearly my interests) it's there.
I have a sickness. Hopefully I am not alone.
In fact, I think I ought to wrap up this entry to go "browse".
Enjoy!

Let the DEMO begin!
For those of you who don't know...we are moving!
It's been a lingering possibility for some time now and when the perfect opportunity presented itself, we couldn't resist!
And no, we are not moving to San Diego (not yet at least)! Instead, we are moving east to a neighborhood we adore! Our house sits less than a mile away from an excellent elementary school (a major plus), countless families with young kids, restaurants within walking distance and many running trails! ...check please!
Now, this move does not deliver immediate gratification - which is probably a good thing so we can gradually part from our beloved home on Wagon Wheel.
Over the next 5 to 6 months, we will be rebuilding a new home on the current lot! A process that can't move fast enough but I will say, step one has been pretty cool to watch! Hey - even a girl can appreciate watching a Caterpillar D10N Bulldozer knock down huge walls of concrete. Keeewwwwllll!!
And for you math wizards, yes. This means the house will most likely be completed while I am in labor! Is there a better time to move??
We are so excited for this new adventure. I will keep you posted with the construction process along the way!
STAY TUNED!...

Avery's First Cold.
Bummer.
Not one of the exciting "firsts" :( but for going almost 9 months without getting a cold seems pretty good to me.
Regardless, I hate to see her sick.
It's been non-stop-wiping-of-the-nose, which has not made her too happy! The good news is that even while fighting a cold, Avery is in her usual spunky spirits!
I'm not sure why I thought I could avoid catching her cold but it has taken me down too. I made it about 3 hours at work today and had to go home. Grrr. Not fun being sick while pregnant - I can't take anything. Oh modern medicine how I miss you!
Let's hope the girl's of the Morrison household start feeling better soon...

Gifts Galore!
This week we had a surprise visit from Nanny Annie and she did NOT come empty handed!
Yet again, she arrived with her hands full of gifts for little Aves! ...and this time for Baby Boo too! She made Avery her very own Little Quack blanket which put a big smile on her face! Duckies are Avery's favorite! She also brought a handmade crocheted hat and a halloween onesie! And Baby Boo got his very own camo jacket and CARS onesie!
Despite all the sweet gifts, it was excellent to see Ann and visit with her for a couple hours!
Thank you for the great visit, Ann! I love you so much!

Mom's Birthday Weekend in San Diego!
Last weekend was incredible!
To celebrate my mom's birthday, Chris, Avery, my mom and I packed up the Tahoe and headed West! We arrived Thursday night to cool San Diego weather and a very welcoming Jamie Gulliver!
While Jamie and Jereme were at work on Friday, we took my mom to the infamous Brigantine in Del Mar for a delicious lunch overlooking the Del Mar race track.
Then a quick visit to Jamie's new office and an afternoon at home to rest for our big night! We surprised my mom by taking her to C-Level, an incredible restaurant along the ocean with a view of downtown San Diego. It was wonderful. Avery was a prefect angel (as usual - heehee) and slept the entire dinner (it was past her bed time after all) while we ate delicious food and took memorable pictures.
Does it get better?
Why yes it does. Saturday was definitely my favorite day! After morning coffee, we all headed to a nearby pumpkin patch so Avery could pick her very first pumpkin :) We then took a stroll along the Bay to our next adventure...Paddle Boarding! And it was quite the adventure - even for reasons we didn't expect ;)
Lunch at the Pacific Beach Ale House followed by some girl shopping while the guys watched football at a nearby bar? What a day!
The perfect end to the day was cuddling in our pj's while we carved our new pumpkins, chowed down on mexican food and snuggled in covers for some childhood home videos.
Just when we thought we were heading home the next day, Jamie did a convincing job of explaining why we should stay for just one more day! And since we all had Columbus Day off of work, we couldn't think of a reason not to stay! Besides, James was playing in her very first co-ed soccer game - how could we miss that!??
Jamie and Jereme were incredible hosts. Incredible. We owe them a HUGE thank you for a memorable and exciting weekend away! I cannot wait to go back and visit again!...
