And just like that, she's off!
This last Friday Avery "officially" started walking! Although she has been taking long strides and random steps here and there, it wasn't until Friday that she truly found her feet and her confidence. Walking no longer became a unpredictable challenge. Instead, it became her chosen mode of transportation.
I have been watching her in awe. She is now my little person and I think I love her even more than I already had. I'm learning quickly that I find more happiness in watching her evolve than I ever anticipated. In the beginning, I wanted to freeze time and keep her little (and of course I still do in a way) but I had no idea how magical all of these milestones would be!
Of course each stage brings it's own challenge but that's okay - that's what makes it worth it. It's is the best kind of "hard work" I've ever known.
This new found independence of hers melts my heart in the most bitter sweet way.
I love this little girl...this little person so very much.

I don't know, Warner...you feel big to me!!
This does NOT feel like a small baby to me!!
Then again, I have stayed very committed to eating A LOT these last few weeks! Maybe I haven't been eating enough over all but that seems crazy to me. I am definitely running out of room but my boyish hunger has remained consistent this pregnancy as well as my cravings for fruit and sharp cheddar cheese!
Pounds gained? 20 and counting!
So, I've been thinking...I'm not sure if I am going to be early with this one after all. Maybe a week but now I feel lost when anticipating this baby's arrival date. Not that I need to but I really have no clue. Before I was so confident he was coming early but now, he could even make it to April 12th?!!...
On that note, has anyone come across one of those pregnancy forums where different moms write in and answer questions, etc. I've never written in or asked a question but how annoying are the women that write "your baby will come when he is good and ready!" I want to slap them in their face. K, that's a little mean but it's like, no kidding!!!!!!! Clearly, they have never had a tough pregnancy.
Wow, excuse me...I guess I needed to get that out ;)
But again, still feeling patient with this one...just big.
Let's face it, sweet Warner will come when he is good and ready. ;)
35 Weeks and 3 Days!
Don't mind the moving boxes...

Project 57 - Rendering Fun!
Boy do I love a man that can Photoshop!
For people who know me and know me well, it's probably not a big surprise that I married a "geek"...well, techy geek that is! (can you tell Chris doesn't read my blog?) The truth is, I tell him he's a geek all the time but personally, I don't think he comes off as one...just when you dig deep. ;)
But seriously, these computer nerds come with some major benefits! Photoshop is just one small example (right, Nora?) ;)
The recent changes to Project 57 have been slow and unappealing to the eye (electrical, plumbing, etc.). I have only been by the house 3 times in the last month. Crazy, I know but it really has hit a "wall". Pun intended. Our HVAC guy came back too expensive and Keith had to fire the plumber. It turns out even home building has drama.
Okay, okay...my point! Chris took the time to design a couple versions of the final product to finally give us a better look into the finished product. What do you all think??
My favorite!
Not bad either!

Fever Schmeever!
I guess it was inevitable that Chris and Avery were going to catch my cold! I knew this round was worse and even a strong immune system was bound to get it :(
Although this was the second time Avery has been sick, it's the first time she had a true fever. Well, is 100 degrees a true fever? Fortunately it didn't rise above that but it did mean she was fighting something in her system.
We did our best to keep her "rested" as much as we could on Thursday and if that meant extra cuddly time with Dora, then so be it!
But despite feeling lousy, Avery still managed to be a silly goose any chance she got. We need to take lessons from this little girl!

Update!
I cannot believe I am about a month away from my due date! Unreal and so exciting.
I am now almost 35 weeks along and last Thursday, we went for another ultrasound just to "check in". It was quick and everything seemed good. Warner was too "squished" against my uterus to see any 3-D pictures but actually, I like that there is more of a surprise element with him in that regard. Yes...that is truly the limit for my patience with surprises ;)
My doctor did observe that he's still measuring a little "small for dates" and is about 4 lbs, 9 oz as of last Thursday. Translation? It basically means he's in the 27th percentile at this point in my pregnancy. Nothing worthy of concern but EVERYthing is a concern to a mother so I will just have to trust that all is well. It does make sense that he's small though...I've been smaller with this pregnancy the entire time so I am sure that transfers over to him.
I did let my doctor know I am good at fattening up my babies once they're out! ;)
So overall, I have been feeling great despite ANOTHER bad cold that came on fast this past Saturday! And this one has been bad. Man...enough already. I'm hoping my immune system bounces back immediately after he is born! Not fun.
On that note, I am off to bed!...

Avery's 1st Trip to the Zoo!
I've wanted to take Avery to the zoo for a long time now but with my crazy schedule lately, I could not find a day during the week that worked.
So last Friday I was determined to make our first trip out! Unfortunately, Chris' work was piling up fast so he couldn't join us but nonetheless, the Morrison girls packed up our gear and headed to the animals!
I did have my hesitations going alone with Aves but I'm proud to say it was a complete success and SUCH a great time! She enjoyed it even more than I anticipated and frankly, so did I! Before we knew it, she was waving at the giraffes and blowing kisses to the lions...ah-dora-bull!
It was a special day and I know we will be back many many times...I'm guessing by then I will be bringing my double stroller! ;)
