What a WONDERFUL Weekend with Jen!

I can't describe what a wonderful weekend I had with one of my very best friends ever...Jen Ramos (Jen Bird as I know it)!

Jen flew into Phoenix from the Bay Area last Friday and the fun began immediately :) We had a delicious lunch outside at True Food and then headed home so the puppies could see their dear Aunt Jen. Wally doesn't try to hide his crush at all and even managed to spend the entire night in her bed (let's not share that with Jakee-Poo)! That night we had a great dinner at Postino's with Jen, Chris and myself :)

Since I was in the middle of some bathroom decorating, Jen and I stopped by Target Saturday to load up on some great pieces. As great as Target is, the best was yet to come...The Montelucia! Jen and I had the most amazing spa day with 50 minute massages and a day by the pool...eating, drinking, talking and tanning! Does it get better?

We ended the evening with delicious Mexican food take-out and some dvd rentals. Naturally, shopping was on the agenda so that conveniently took up all of Sunday! As we mentioned many times throughout the trip, we tend to spend a bundle when we are around each other! Whoopsie!

Having Jen visit was definitely bittersweet! She reminds me exactly why friendship is incredible. I miss her already but know that I will get to see her soon! Jen - You are such an amazing friend!! I love you girl!

The "Brig-abels"!

This is what I would like to call a classic "long-over-due-post-but-a-must!"

I would by lying if I said I didn't absolutely love and adore these The Brigham Family and The Gabel Family)! They have been such a fun blessing in Chris and my lives and remind me how God truly works in creative ways. It has been such a blast getting to know them more and more through our recent dinner parties. Well, dinner parties that are planned with one of The Brigham's but we seem to strategically work the Gabel's in last minute so they don't have time to change their minds (I hope you're laughing JB) hahaa!

I cannot say enough about them! I just look forward to a continued friendship and many more fun times!

Tahlia's NAU Graduation Celebration!

This past weekend we headed up to Flagstaff for my niece's college gradution from NAU! Leona and Steve have been planning this for months now and pulled off a wonderful party. We had a lot of fun with the family. My parents had prepared a delicious Mexican Feast! (my favorite!)...and the surprise guest being Kokomo ;) Dad, I will resist any jokes coming to mind at the moment. Kidding - Kokomo is a really talented band that I regret to inform you all: they are breaking up. More to follow on that topic. ;)

We partied till pretty late in the evening and woke up to a delicious Mother's Day breakfast! By the time we got home, we were beyond exhausted but it was worth it!

Team Coco!!

If you've followed my blog even leisurely, you would know that my husband is incredible. In case you don't, this entry will confirm it. Conan O'Brien, my friends. Hands down, one of the funniest humans in this world. I am a HUGE fan and love everything about his pasty little body, haha! Let's be honest, I could care less what he looks like, I only care about the hysterical jokes flooding out of his mouth.

On to the fabulous hubby of mine...he surprised me with tickets to Conan's "Legal Prohibitted from being Funny on Television Tour"! Ahhhhh. Pause for effect. Chris and I had an amazing time at the concert last night! I loved every minute of it, incuding the opening act Reggie Watts. My only criticism? Not enough Conan :( The show was incredible but Conan shared the spotlight quite a bit with other "members" of his show. In my perfect world, it would be stage, microphone and Conan for 2 hours straight. Still, I can't complain. He had my chubby cheeks hurting just as I had anticipated. I refrianed from laughing the entire day just to prepare for this. And the encore surprise was Conan running around the audience! Since we had ROW 10 SEATS, I reached out and got to touch Coco! Call me stalker-ish and creepy, but I couldn't resist...I was just too close!

Conan, you have my vote.

Wagon Wheel Block Party!

A Wagon Wheel Block Party was well overdue but nonetheless, better late than never! Since there have been many changes on Wagon Wheel over the last couple of years (not all good)...a block party was naturally being procrastinated. But now that things are settling down and wonderful families are joining this fabulous neighborhood...it was finally, TIME! I loved being part of the planning committee with Cindy, Jill and Teri...in just one short meeting and a couple emails, we had the party planned! Oh the joy of surrounding yourself with efficient women. The party was a hit! Can't wait till the next one!
